Is there anybody in the greater Houston area that knows of a good place or person to go to. So that i can get a good dyno tune for my 99 5.3

Chucks Tuning.I dont have his # but if you go on craigslist and type in chucks tuning sevices.The guy knows his stuff on these ls base chevy's.He's tuned mine and some buddies.He's on the northwest side of town.$350 for a dyno performance tune.$150 for a retune.Give hime a call.You wont be dissapointed.Mike

Wheatley hands down. Awesome guy and has tuned tons of these trucks and cars. I have been going to him for years, search for him on here to see some happy customers. He's in west houston. Link in my sig.

If hes wanting a dyno tune wheatley doesnt do em, he does street tunes. But you can look up chucks tuning or flaco.

He's good but dont know about hands down!There's a bunch of guys in the Houston area that does dyno tunes.I only tell you from what I know and Chuck is also very good.You choose I'm sure either one of them will give you a great tune.Good luck.

dyno tunes are a waist of time imo, that is unless you already have a good street tune and then just wanna try to put a number up

Unless it's a track-only vehicle that operates only at WOT, a street tune is much more effective than a dyno tune, IMHO

But yes, street tune is going to be much more effective than a dyno tune for a daily driver.
