Default Good Houston tranny shop?
Guys, a good friend of mine's trans just went out on his '99 Tahoe 4x4. His truck is stock and has 130k miles, so he doesn't need a FLT built trans or anything like that. Where is a good shop in Houston he should go to and where can he get a good rebuilt or low mile 60e?

So Circle D seems to be the favorite. What should he expect to pay for a rebuilt transmission and labor?

Noe built my 4l60e, it is a beast. Just make sure you have big cooler to go with it.

He's @ Lonestar Muffler on Southmore in Pasadena like mentioned.

Circle D all the way! We have their tranny and converter in both of our camaros and my truck as well and they work very well.
