Default Speaker Selection for my 3/4 Ton...

Hey guys I want to replace the factory speakers with some aftermarket speakers. It's 6.5s in the door and 4x6s in the pillars. I do not plan on running a sub at all. I just ordered a pioneer head unit.

Here is a pic of the truck. It' a 3/4 ton with a 454ci. Not go be my daily driver but I want it to be nice.
Truck go be used as a tow rig.

We have surmised that the component speakers sound better and have more clarity than coaxial speakers.

A few guys recommend the Alpine SPS-610C for the door speakers as well as polk audio brand speakers.

I myself, have not made a decision on what to run yet. You can look on sites such as Crutchfield for reviews on different brands.

Maybe its not the high dollar type speakers but on my old truck i went with Sony 4 way speakers found at Wal-Mart. Very decently priced also. And gotdam what an improvement over stock and they sounded really nice being 4 way speakers, just my 2 cents. Im sure any decent brand over stock and youll be good.

Go with Focal. They make some of the best sounding speakers I've ever heard.
