I'm using the Infinity Kappa 2 ways. What type of system do you have or plan on putting in your truck? With the 3-way I think you would have more control of the overall sound.

I also have the 2-ways, but I got the 6¾" size. I put them in the front doors of my crewcab, rear doors are still stock. Running these speakers from the factory deck isn't too impressive. The highs are great, but the bass is kinda weak. I think they need more juice.

When I get a few more bucks saved up, I'm gonna probably get the 3-ways and put them up front and move the 2-ways in the back doors and put some power to all of them.

BTW, where are you shopping? I got the 652.5i for $99 shipped off of ebay a couple weeks ago. I think the 6½ were the same price.

Like Neil said, use the 6 3/4" in the front doors so they will seal good and not leave a little gap around then. I used the Kenwood components with the tweeters mounted on the little triangle piece at the front of the door windows. If you mainly listen to cd's or satellite radio the components are the only way to go because they are so crystal clear sounding, however when you listen to the radio you hear every little bit of static and they don't sound so good. I also upgraded the 4x6's in the back to kenwoods and set the fade about three points toward the back to blend them in good.

i have the kappa 2 ways in mine and it sounds alright. the highs aren't that great compared to some of the other systems i've heard. man, i wish my DADDY would buy all my stuff and pay for all my mods.

i have 6.5" 2-way fosgates in the front doors and 4x6 infinity reference 2-way in the rear pillars (what a fun project getting the rear driver's side in: my back seat was sitting on my driveway and then i had to drive to sears to get the torx bolt driver for the seat belt, oh ya, what fun. don't get me wrong i love installing stereo stuff). also, i have a alpine headunit. everything sounds great. it is even better with my 2 10" subs (1000 W) in my MTX thunderform and a 600 W RF punch amp. anyone else have a thunderform underneath their rear seat? have you had problems with the amp overheating? music sounds real shitty when that amp goes out. did anyone install fans?

well I guess it depends on the rest of the system. If the rest is stock stick with coaxial or triaxial. I f you have an amp use components for sure. I have B/A pro 6.5, sound awesome
