Question Power Wire through Firewall, where?

I'm going to add a single 10" sub to my 2006 Silverado Crew Cab.

Where is the best place to run a 8 GA power wire through the firewall?

Any pics?

I went through the big grommet with the main wiring harness. directly above the fuse panel on the driver side floor/firewall or under the brake booster. Just take a pcoket knife and slit it on both sides and run a coat hanger through it - from there you can tape your wire to the coat hanger and pull it back through. I've done this on 4 trucks now.

Maybe not the best way to do it but I also used the stock grommet like described above. It works

Yep me too, I ran a 1/0 gauge wire through mine. I also drilled two more holes close by to run the rest of my various wires though. Filled up both holes already

I've run a bunch of different wires through the stock grommet...it's a bit of a bear to snake em through, but it's doable. Gonna see if I can find some pics...
