im not saying it doesnt work...hell you could run it outside the truck and it would still work. im just saying that it doesnt look the best, and there are easier ways to do it.

I ran mine through the grommet with the main harness. No extra holes.

I used the stock gromet, and I have also drilled a hole where the clutch mounts up. The foam on the inside of the fire wallis cut out and their is a circle indented in the firewall, I drill it from the inside.

I wouldn't run it through the main harness boot unless you are using a big barrel fuse or circuit breaker. I heard of some that have used a plastic maxi fuse holder and if it ever grounds out the connectors can melt together. Then the power wire starts to melt your factory harness. Not good, or cheep to fix.
I ran my through the fender and door like the 9GMC9. Barrel fuse before it goes in the fender and a large maxi distribution block before the amps.

ok this guy has a point.... but I ran mine through the factory harness without at slit. if you guys pull that grommet out towards the engine bay it will pop off. then slide the wire go inside the cab and pull that grommet toward the rear of the truck and it will snap right on again . looks good
