Default Popping sound from speaker?

I just joined these form's and i hope someone here can maybe help me figure out this issue i'm having with one speaker in my Silverado crew cab.

Ever since i bought this truck four months ago the left rear speaker makes a popping sound when the truck is shut off. It doesn't do this all the time but every once and a while you can hear this sound coming from the speaker.

The truck has the factory deck in it, nothing has been changed or moddified.
I take it that this could be a possible short but i'm not really sure.

So maybe someone here maybe has an idea why this might be happening or give me some suggestions on what i could check or possibly look for

Like i mentioned it is just the one speaker that does this. Any help would be appreciated.

No it is not a Bose system. I have tried several different speakers and it doesn't matter its something other than a bad speaker.

typically a ground issue. At least that's the best place to start.

Hey guys thanks for your thoughts and suggestions, i'll check the ground on that speaker first and go from there. I just don't like it when things don't work properly.

Worse case i'll take the whole system out and put in a new system including wiring. Thanks again.

So you think its the deck itself thats is causing this? Have you had a similar problem ? The speaker pops weather its turned on or off.

The amp in the radio is on until the door is opened and or the key removed from the ign and the door opened. It's a possibility the radio is bad. I've changed several radios in these trucks for various problems and gm has issued updated calibrations to address various problems for little quirky things depending on the year model and options of your truck.

Hey thanks for the info about the decks. I will plan on swapping out for another deck asap, hopefully that will solve the issue. Thanks again.
