Default Key Fob

I have a 2008 sierra wt, is there any way to reprogram a key fob without going to the dealer. Don't want to pay 60 bucks..

Does anyone know if this is plug and play or is it only if your truck came with it from the factory.

Nope must bend over and grab your ankles no way around the dealer to program it.

First step, remove your hands from your ankles...

Insert Key and turn to ON position so you can access Driver Information Center

2. Press the vehicle information button until
PRESS TO RELEARN REMOTE KEY displays

3. Press the set/reset button until
REMOTE KEY LEARNING ACTIVE displays

4. Press and hold the lock and unlock buttons on the keyless remote at the same
time for approximatley 15 seconds. A chime will sound indicating that the remote is
programmed.

5. To program additional remotes at this time repeat step 4.
This vehicle can have a maximum of eight remotes programmed.

6. To exit programming mode turn key off and remove key.
Test remote(s).

Yes it will work for your truck even if not built from the factory with it.

I see au0 is remote keyless entry, not sure why they would put power locks on with no keyless entry. O'well

Can't do it on my 11 only a few vehicles get out here and there with the remote key learning feature activated. It is usually only found in fleet vehicles like police tahoes etc. all others must go to a dealer to use tech 2 to reprogram key transmitters.
