Hid question??

Default Hid question??

Is there anything or something i can do to make my hids turn on instantly so i dont have to wait 5-10 seconds until they get their full brightness??

If I remember correctly a capacitor and/or relay for HID kits should fix this problem.

why do you not have 5-10 secs for them to warmup? cars with HIDS from factory take time to warm up.

its like hop in truck, start it, turn headlights on/auto on headlights, put seat belt, drive. maybe fumble with radio. they take 15-20 to get to full brightness but you don't need that to drive. as long as your not one of those people that you see drive and turn them on because you forgot you should be fine.

I will try the capacitors and relays to see if they fix the problem.. The reason for the question wasnt because i dont have 5-10 sec. its because i want to install hids on my high beams and if you switch from low to high beams while driving those 5-10 seconds in the dark do cause a problem. Thanx for your replies!!

HIDS are not good for high beams

agree but if you did do the 4 high mod where the lows stay on while the highs are on. if i remember right its like $4 to do.

Its a 2005 silverado.. And can i do that mod so my foglights stay on when i have my highbeams on??
