Default flipout screen not playing

everything on it works but when i try to play a dvd it tells me can not play while driving, even if parked. So i took it apart and the only two wires not tied in were for "back up camera" and "emergency brake". Now i no it can be done, watching it going down the road, cause i did it years ago but i forgot which one to tie it in to, and I don't want to mess anything up. Any help would be appreciated.

Attach the e-brake wire to ground.

Depends on the model of the unit. not all will work with a ground. some of them actually need a relay wired up for it to bypass. If it is like jensen or dual brand there is a code you can type in on the remote.

Most can be bypassed by grounding the parking brake wire.

Some can enter a code to bypass it like he ^^^^ said

The newer pioneer stuff has to have the mute wire and parking brake pins swapped out. It's easy to do though.

Goodluck

Did that to my old setup. Not that you want to watch a video while going 75 but when sitting in a drive through I always had Family Guy or something playing LOL

LOL didn't think of that. My old Avalanche had the flip down screen in the back and that was a life saver with my nephew.

I have a flip out screen that I can install in my 2011 I am just not sure I want to try to install it. The older chevys were cake for installing stereos. GM had to go and screw it all up with the NNBS with bose and onstar

Check out the Advent OGM-1. Designed specifically for these GM trucks. I just got one from ADCMobile for my truck.
