Default Factory HU to amp install

I have my a mono amp and sub wired and ready to go... but since i want to use my factory head unit i a bit confused if there is something out there that will allow me to wire rca outputs off my stock HU, ive looked into the PAC aoem-gm21c

but cannot find anywhere that confirms this will work for my truck (02' Sierra non bose, single cd player) What other options do i have?? if i use a line level convertor what color wires am i looking to tap into? thanks

i've used those before with some success, but a common problem that i kept hearing about was it was causing the subs to "pop" even when the HU was turned off. Didn't know exactly what was causing it, but when we switched to using all RCAs the problem went away.
