I did that already. I guess you do get something for 300 hundred bones.

I have a V1 and a bell. The bell will pick up a little sooner then the V1. I like the arrows of the V1 but it is to dam big. For the money I will stick with my bell for my main driver and stuck the V1 in my second slower 2 car.

The valentine is a great unit and I'm not ******* on it in any way, but why do you need it?

I have a Bell 895 that I got on sale for $150 and it's worked just as good as any other. If I'm on a straight highway it will pick up a cop as much as 2.5 miles away. If it's a windy/busy road it will pick it up in about a mile. How much more warning do you need?

It has very few false signals, has pop sensor(works well too), and it's less than half the price of the Valentine.

Like said: No radar can detect instant on but good one's will pick up cars in front of you. I've been "saved" on 2 or 3 times where I would have gotten a 25+ speeding ticket due to this.

Just buy a good one for around $200 and stick with it. There's only so much a radar detector can do.

Oh and I've tested this with my buddies 8500 x50 in the same truck and they detect almost EXACTLY at the same time. The only real difference is that his is about 1/2 a second faster but he has tons more false POP warnings.

I would not trade my V1 for anything. I have had it since Dec of 2003 and it has more then paid for itself.
