Default HELP! Radio Lights

Are there LED's in OEM radio or are they small incandescent bulbs? Some of mine are burnt out and I need to replace them. Thanks

mine are getting to where they are slow to some on with a delay of some sort

i think they are probably incadescent because the dim with the dimmer on the headlight control panel and LEDs require a completely different type of dimmer with a resistor type of thing and i know for a fact the 99-02 style instrument cluster has incadescent bulbs in it...

They are led's and they can be replaced, but it is diffucult to do if you aren't skilled at soldering. The area to solder is very very small there are some people around that will do it for you and you can even have a different color led's installed, but it will probably be cheaper to just buy a new radio.

I found some picutres somewhere of a truck where the guy had replaced every led in the truck with blue one's. I mean "every" led, steering wheel buttons, window switches, heated seat buttons, radio, ac control, gauge cluster and anywhere else there might be an led. It looked really nice, but I bet it took a long time to do and cost a small fortune.

ohh, i was thinkin when 04blacksilverado did his interior he said the 03-06 had leds where as the 99-02 had regular bulbs, this is referring to the instrument cluster, and i assummed the rest of the interior was the same
