my cousin is wanting some exhaust work on his 06 2wd silverado ss and he found one place that was 800 to bolt on shorty headers and put on 2 magnaflows and thats is he brought the headers...so he needs some good places in the houston area to go to

 

I know a guy that can install the headers, but not the mufflers,

but the muffler shop where I go is called deer park muffler and they do a good job...

what part of houston does he stay around...

I wouldnt go to Deer Park Muffler..

as a matter of fact I am having the whole exhaust redone tomorrow..
$250-300 dual 3inch from the header collector all the way back..
I am supplying the Mufflers, and cats

If your buddy wants tell him I can do the headers for him..
the shorties will bolt right up to the stock exshuast..
then he can decide where he wants to take the truck..

 

i will tell him..hes wanting pacesetter longtubes..but the place he went to said they would only do shortys

 

he can get long tubes..
I bought my own set of LT's put them on myself, and then drove it up to the shop..
he can do that if he wants...
I am off every other Friday..just an option..
If he does the LT headers he will need to go to a shop pretty quick, cause it's gonna be loud as hell.
If he goes with the shorties, he want have to worry about it...

lets use this for an example..
asked him how much to redo the exhaust cause I was getting LT's, and he told me they wouldnt help me performance wise, and that if I really wanted some power then I should get some shorties
I had shorties, and he doesnt know anyhting about the new setups..
if all you want is a piece of pipe, and a muffler with a tip, he can do it..
I just got tired of argueing with him... well not argueing, but got tired of having to point out his misinformation..

 

I've had one of those conversations before but I guess it didnt bother me, or he noticed I didnt give a **** about what he said.. but usually he's just doing the piece of pipe, muffler swap and or tip job when I go... but nothing serious for me to not go again, yet. but he does do quality job...
