Default SS Suspension.. what's different ?

To you SS guys.. what makes the SS suspension different from the regular Silverado ? Just curious as to the part and how it's set up.
I've got an 06 EC Special ( Limited ) Edition Silverado with the SS Suspension package, ( option Z60 if I recall correctly ) and 20" wheels. I would not have bought a regular one since it rode too soft and mushy, but once I drove this one I was hooked.. Handles well for a big truck.

I think the only thing is that the shocks are different.

Found this on pickuptruck.com

The SS comes with GM’s Z60 suspension that is firm, stable and lowers the ride height to a more aggressive stance. The Z60 includes gas-charged shocks, front and rear anti-sway bars. It rides on P245/75R20 tires wrapped around 20-inch spoked alloy wheels.

They also have the 4wd front components (torsion bar susp). The "aggressive stance" boils down to a rear leveling kit.

Thanks...
Yes, you can certainly tell it sits more level.
Now I've got to get some more power to the ground.

i dont know if you quoted it wrong or if they wrote it wrong to begin with but they dont come with 245/75R20 tires they come with 275/55R20 tires(goodyear eagle gt2s) the stock 2wd trucks come with 245/75/R16 tires i think

the AWD SS had a rear sway bar? wtf us 2wd guys got the PITA to put on rear ones lol.

but yes, the SS had a 1" lower stance, specific rate front torsion bars, specific shocks (these changed 3 times during produciton), and specific rear rate leaf springs. rides like **** stock IMO
