your tires are right around 30" tall. you will have to have a driveshaft made. the fbody one wont handle the stress from the extra weight of the truck, but i also dont think it is the right length.

fyi on gears, notice the difference in how long it takes to spin up.

Nice!! what rpm's are u running in 6th say at 80 mph? and are caltracks really worth it, im having issues with spinning once i get over a certain speed, mostly high rpm's in 2nd gear, and no matter what i do off the line she just spins and gets bent

At 80mph I'm at about 2300rpms with the 4.88's.

And the cal-tracs are totally worth the money. I can almost dead hook on street tires at the track and very little spin on the street.

Holy hell. You could've pushed the ****** down the track and gotten a better 60' lol.

I know, right? With a good 60' and that MPH which would probably be a little higher with a good 60 as well I'm thinking low 14's high 13's...just need to learn how to drive lol.

edit: @Billy - Yeah street tires, no idea what the track temp was...the ambient was about 60* Most of the problem was me dumping the clutch at ~2500.

I have a T-56 with the Keisler midshift kit. Not gonna lie, its not an easy swap. I did it for a Sonoma I had and have been thinking about putting it in my truck. And based off of my measurement, it is about 2" off still but a hell of a lot closer than not moving it. It's a very good kit. From what I can tell it is also a sudo short throw.

I have a guy who works n tranny shop here n Topeka and specializes in t-56. said he will do the swap for me including teardown and rebuild for $350 i just pay for parts... i plan on buying the Keisler kit n about a month when i get back from Vegas. Do u think i would be able to reuse the shift lever out of my RST?!?! if i just got a different ball for the 6 spd
