I've heard of the torque converter "balooning" and pushing the crank forward, wiping out the thrust bearing. Never actually saw this myself, though.

How much tension is on the blower drive belt? Could that induce forward thrust? That's a question, not a suggestion. I don't know if this could be a factor or not.

thats what the link above was mentioning, the converter did spin freely, it’s a yank sc3000 which should Be anti ballooning... seems like no one really knows

my thought was to low of rpm and high load (not high oil pressure in bearings to keep the crank floating on the oil)

for the belt it’s a standard tensioner

SC3000 should be a billet cover, which is anti-ballooning. I've seen a stamped steel cover converter push the crank forward.

well I wonder if my last converter did the damage, and it finally died - I had the fuddle 3200 for maybe a year with the supercharger
The yank is the red one

No that's also billet, so I wouldn't be blaming that converter. Not for that particular problem.

Well after a few months of kicking ideas around, I choose to do the lq9/243 setup- however just got the new cam in today from BTR is was the stage 3 truck cam. So as advertised it’s 218/224- .553/.553 113+3

the cam that is in the box is same duration but lift is .552/.552 and Lsa is 113

what to do? Is this normal? I’d expect to see all the advertised info on the cam card- but it doesn’t match

.001 Is so negligible you Physically can't even see it. Have you seen how a camshaft is actually ground?
Everything basically matches. The only thing is that it doesn't show the advance ground in. Maybe call BTR on Monday and confirm with with them?

Call BTR on Monday and see if they can look into it. It's possible a mistake was made when the order went in to Comp. Wouldn't be the first time Comp screwed up...
