Side Molding
I have thought about taking off that ugly side molding for awhile now. How hard is it to take off? With my 00 ta it was pretty easy being the the molding was alittle smaller and more flexable.

I did mine on a hot day so it would be a little easier. I used fishing line to cut the tape and once I had enough done so I coulde grab the molding, I just pulled it right off. That was the easy part. Getting the tape/glue off is a pain. Some recommended 3m Adhesien remover and that helped a lot. The badges were held on with some stronger tape so it took a little longer. Its not hard though, just time consuming.

Oh, hell yeah removing the glue is freakin a pain in the ***!! The emblem itself comes right off. Takes a little patience and time, but you'll be able to do it. I used a little degreaser and a rubbed off with a cloth.

Use a plastic putty knife that is semi-flexible or a little scraper thing that is also plastic(idk what it is called) I was doing my molding when I had the tint guy there doing my windows. Mine and my friend fingers & thumbs were killing us and the tint guy said "here try using this, I used to do that kind of stuff for a living" And he handed me that scraper that kinda resembles a mini putty knife, save our asses and took half as long to get the tape off! Soak the tape with 3m adhesive remover also, that stuff also works wonders.

Hey guys,
I'm in the middle of this as well. I used a heat gun to soften up the mouldings where I could pull them off. Once I got them off, getting that two sided tape off is a major Biatch!!!
I too, got big blisters on both thumbs! Anyways, after getting a door done, my buddy who is a painter by trade told me of this little tool.
Basically, it is a rubber wheel that you use with a electric drill. It basically rolls the adhesive off the paint (just like you were doing with your thumbs). It is for removing weaterstrips, etc. You can buy them at autobody type paint stores.
Just thought I'd share
