Default Problem with Billet Grille

I went to try to put my Grille on and it seems like it stiks out a little bit I was just wondering if I am the only one with this problem or not. Please give me some sort of feedback on this.

Lots of issues on why it can stick out.

If it is a new truck and using a bolt-over grill eyou have to trim some of the stock grille away to set it back farther inside the shell. Without any detial there are too many reasons why it might not fit right.

what year is your truck? did you buy a bolt over grill or a grill where you had to cut out the stock inserts?

The truck is a 2000 model and it is a bolt over it seems like it is hitting the stock grille behind it.

Yeah, that's what i figured it was. We install them all the time and they usually do that.. IMO I would take the time to actually cut out the stock grille and install it that way. It's much cleaner IMO. If you are happy with the way it is now then simply mark the spots with some tape or something, remove the grille and grind that high spots on the stock grille till it fits flush.

where are the screw holes on the grill? there should be either a tab with 2 holes on each side or 2 tabs at the top and bottom bottom of each grill. if you have these the easiest thing to do is cut out the factory inserts

I have the one where there are two tabs at the top and bottom on each side but the tabs on the bottom are different from the tabs on the top.

ok you will need to cut out the factory inserts. the easiest way is to take off your whole grill and then cut out the inserts. it is not hard to do. i will try to find the link i was given to show me how to do mine.
