Default Paintin bumpers mirros and grille in a 03 z71

Wut are the best ways to paint the oem bumpers grille and mirros on a 03 z71? I have had ppl tell me let a body shop do it but i like doing thimgs myself and im sure alot of yaw are the sameway.

The easiest way is go to the paint store and get some plastic cladding and your base color and clear. Then clean with a red scotch pad and some comet. Then wipe down with wax and grease remover. Then spray the plastic cladding and follow with color and clear. About one coat of plastic cladding and three of color and clear and the texture is gone.

Alright bros thanks alot i would real rather do it myself so i could learn to it rather than paying to do i.

sometimes its not about saving money but to learn how to do something and be able to say i did that rather then paying someone to do it for you.

It's nice to be able to say "I did it myself" for sure, and if it doesn't come out right the first time, practice makes perfect. There's enough guys on here who have done their own paint work that can give good tips and advice also. Plus, if it saves a buck that's most definitely a bonus!

Sounds like we all think alike lol I know when you do somethin yourself and you get done with it you feel like you have done somethin rather than going to pick your truck up at a body shop lol
