After almost a year of not driving a truck, I finally went out and bought one.
It's a 2006 Silverado LT 2wd. Loaded with everything except a power seat and OnStar. Has the 5.3L, G80 (**** box), etc. It's bone stock except for a K&N CAI under the hood.
Oh and yes, I am brilliant for buying a 2wd black truck in the dead of winter in New England with all the snow and salt. :roflmao:
Plans for the truck: remove the tailgate badge and the LT badges, remove the hitch and spare tire carrier (didn't come with a spare tire. go figure.), 4/6 drop hopefully this spring, and that's it. Eventually I'll do performance stuff, but for now I really want to just save my money.

Nice truck, especially the color.
Yeah, black is more difficult to maintain but no color can match it when it's clean. I actually look at black as a "tool" for maintaining your paint. Since it shows EVERYTHING, it gives you an up close assessment of the condition of your paint. If you need to apply wax, remove scratches/swirls, add touch-up, etc........black will tell you. You're not going to see these imperfections on other colors like you do with black.
