I didn't read the whole post so maybe this is just a looks type of mod. If performance oriented, it likely will disappoint. It is missing three things to really take advantage of the air back there.

1. It'll need to be used with a bed cover of some sort
2. It'll need a wicker bill to actually provided some downforce
3. It'll need some side plates also to get full functionality.

Not a at all, and yes same price... i just stop advertsing it because its no where near as popular as the tapered edges.

I'd like it better if the wing would also be welded to a aluminum cap that wrapped over the top of the tailgate and came down back of tailgate to where the factory screw on style cap goes.

I'm not sure how rigid that could be being held on with just those 4 screws. It seems to me that if someone walked by and wanted to be a dick they could push down on that wing and bend the sheet metal on the tailgate the way it attaches now.

If it was attached to a cap you could throw some self tappers in on the inside edge of the tailgate along with the 4 on the back and it would be way more solid.

Basically have it welded to something similar to this:Stainless Steel Tailgate Protector
