Default New Wing Design UPDATE

Before anything, I would like to say thanks to everyone's input, good and bad. It helped me refine my design a little bit more to satisfy most of your likings. I know some dont like wings and/or find them pointless and thats cool, but if you like wings, you might like mine... With that said, I have officially finalized my design. It is made out of 3/16" and 1/2" Aluminum plate and is attached to the tailgate using (4) 1/4" Rivet Nuts for a solid connection. The Smoked Acrylic Insert on the top will have letters or logos engraved with any basic colors. So far i only have 2 wings ready for ordering (2nd Gen Lightnings & 02-05 Rams) 1st Gen Lightnings and Silverado trucks are soon to come. For Silverado trucks with the plastic cap, I am designing the wing to use the existing holes/Rivet nuts on the tailgate to bolt the wing onto it so you dont have to drill new holes.
Pricing wise: $538 will get you one with the acrylic insert. $400 will get you one without the acrylic insert. Shipping is included in the prices. The wing will ship in a raw material finish, they will not be painted. I understand that the pricing is up there and for some it might be too much BUT Remember that unlike other wings that are made out of plastic or fiber glass, Mine is made out of CNC cut and machined Aluminum pieces and are welded for rigidity and durability AND I am also offering a few options to make it your own:

-Tapered Edge or Straight Edge- Meaning that that the top edges of the plate can either taper down towards the outside or be straight across.

-Logo or Lettering Engraving on smoked acrylic with your choice of any basic coloring for the lettering/logo. I will have to approve the art to see if it can be done.

-Blank Acrylic

-No Acrylic (Cheaper)

Here are the Links to my Ebay listings for more information and pictures. These are for 2nd Gen Lightnings but pricing and style will be similar for other trucks. Soon as I receive pictures from one of my Ram customers i will post the listing.

Yes sir. Im in the works of making one for an 04 Stepside that will use the OEM mounting holes used for the plastic tailgate cap. I will also be doing one for a regular bed shortly after.

Ive been thinking about the 2011 models but the only issue im seeing is that the tailgate has like 3 or 4 slot openings that i dont know how they will be covered. Unless I provide an OEM style plastic cover and the wing will have to bolt over it. But that will increase the price of course.
