Need opinions on truck's appearance
#1
Well it's come time to buy rims and tires and I'm at a crossroads, I can't decide how I want my truck to look, muscle car or European. When I first started on my truck my goal was to make it as nice as a mercedes or BMW, and I've come pretty close on the interior,

but now when I look at rims there are really only 2 I like, Konig Crossroads and American Racing Torque Thrusts.

If I get the Konigs I'm getting 18", or 20" with the american racing. I think the Konigs look like a bmw and the torque thrusts like a muscle car, so first question, which one do you guys like?
Next up I can't decide about trim color. I've whited out all my black plastic, but the power washer ate my silver pin stripe. I also want to paint my calipers and drums. I was thinking about doing the brakes white, but then I thought about yellow for a sports car look, because my z71 emblem has a gold Z and the tips I'm getting are the pacesetter Monza tips with the yellow trim.

If I do the brakes white I'm going with a silver pinstripe again, but if I do the brakes yellow, i was thinking a gold pin stripe. So what color do you guys think? I really wanna stay away from red because there is no other red on the truck except for an ugly 4x4 sticker i'm about to remove (we were all 16 once, lol) and because everybody does red brakes.
I guess what it comes down to is should I go for the muscle truck or European look? Any help is greatly appreciated!

No way I'm taking the chrome off, lol. Look at the link in my sig for bigger pics. Another thing I forgot to mention is that whatever trim color I go with, either white or yellow, I'm going to do a couple pieces of the interior with that color. Not like a solid color but like a pin stripe on an interior piece. If you look around the gauge cluster in the first pic you can see where my dash used to be painted white. There are also places where the white shows around the vents where the dash kit doesn't fit right. What I was thinking about doing is taking the dash kit off and painting the dash black so it won't show as bad around the dash kit. Then that spot where its currently white around the gauges I was going to do either a white or yellow racing stripe. What do you guys think about that?

I would say the Konig wheels.
Just my opinion but those floor mats are hideous. If you are trying match the interior of a BMW or Mercedes that would be the first thing to go......
Also go cash out that change bud LOL that would drive me crazy clanking away all the time when I drive.

Well I'm not really going for the mecedes thing anymore, I just hated the stock interior, it felt like you were drowning in an ocean of grey plastic, lol. And yeah I know the floor mats have had it, they used to be mirror polished but not anymore. I just had them to protect the carpet cause this used to be a farm truck until I bought a CUCV. I tore up a rubber matt every couple months before the diamond plate ones.

My opinion......not my taste at all. I would get rid of the big BOSE sticker on your speakers ASAP!!! I would also choose either wood grain or carbon fiber but NEVER both at the same time. Forget about painting the the calipers and drums white or yellow. There is no reason to draw attention to the factory drums in the rear and the front calipers arn't much different. I would say if you really want to paint them paint them black. As for the pace setter tips.....got to go!

Somebody's got to say it. No one's going to look at anything on your truck and think..."ahh, this is like a BMW." Sorry, man, but I think your truck is way too
for most people's tastes on this forum. You need to pick a theme and stick with it. Your interior alone looks like someone with multiple personality disorder designed it.
From the first 2 pictures alone, I see chrome plating, brown wood grain, black carbon fiber, 2 shades of leather, factory black and beige plastics, beige door carpet, and Honda Civic quality inspired Bose stickers. And you are thinking about adding white or yellow to this mix?!
If you want to stick with gaudy, go with the first wheels. The Torque Thrusts are nice, but I'm not digging your theme. The chromed-out Storm Trooper look isn't for me. However, if that's what you like...stick with it. But neither of those wheels is going to look good on a lifted truck.
Get rid of most of the emblems on your truck. The 'stacked' emblems look is especially awful. Glad you are getting rid of that 4x4 emblem. Ditch that and the Z71! Same for SLT and Z71 on the door. Better yet, get rid of all of that crap. Tailgate emblems aren't bad, but all the others need to go.
The tips you picked are awful. Straight up. Don't do it.
Never paint factory drums a bright color. They are drums...cars in the 50s had them...no need to accent them. Black is the only acceptable drum painting color. White calipers will stay nasty, as will yellow.
Don't put pinstripes on there again. Your power washer did you a favor.
Pick a theme and go with it. And cash in that darn change.
