If the bumper were moved up a little it would look MUCH better.

But it would still never get up to where it needs to be to align with the fenders.

How about cutting a section out of the vertical sections of the bottom of the HD grille to work with a regular silverado bumper.

There was a Tahoe that belongs to the guy who runs fullsizechevy.com who did that and it looked pretty good. He even had a diagram of where to cut. He's since replaced the grille and put a HD bumper on though.

What about trimming the 2003+ GMC HD filler piece to match up w/ the Silvy HD grille? You know, the little black piece between the grille and the bumper in the pic below.

If it were painted to match, I don't think it would look all that bad.

what i was looking to do was the bumper like scream has. i got the idea while looking at his headlight thread. screams bumper is not the same as the picture above of the red truck. either way yall think it would be hard to do or not? i kinda do things different. i ran my camaro with black wheels and chrome centers(kinda police looking) for a while and it was fun. just for kicks i would hit the brakes if someone went the other direction really fast then they would slam on their brakes. im kinda mischievious. i didnt do the wheels for that reason though. i just wanted to be different.

The bumper in that pic up top is an 03-05 GMC bumper. Mine is a 2001. I have a friend who put an 03 GMC grille on his 02 GMC w/ the 02 GMC bumper, and it fit just about the same. Based on that, i would think that my style bumper would sit just as low.

The 99-02 HD GMC's have a different bumper cap that is larger...maybe that would look better?
