Help! Installing Boost gauge - Which wire to tap for dimming?
#5
Thanks guys for the help! I held off on install last night just to get some advice before I poke a bunck of holes in wiring insulation. I'm installing on a H2 but the light switch is the same as I've seen on the Denali and I expect it is the same as on the trucks. The pain in the butt is that there is not much slack in that particular harness and not much room to work. That is why I appreciate the help.
Once I get this installed I can report what the H2 Radix kit is pushing on my truck.
Thanks again!

Well, the wire is not green, blue, or pink on mine. None of those dropped voltage when I dimmed the switch with the headlights on. I poked the insulation on one other wire and that wasn't it either. At that I decided I had damaged enough of my insulation for the time being and left it without a light.
The good news is that the H2 Radix kit makes about 6.5 pounds of boost and right at 7 psi at the shift point.
Thanks for the recommendations anyway.

Get one of those testers with the light bulb on the end. When you find the right one, the bulb on the tester will dim or brighten when you adjust the dash light brightness switch. It was the light blue also on my 01.
