Stupid?? What holds it on? Want to take it off and paint it but scared to pull too hard on it and break it!! LOL

remove the grille and it clipped in, well I know that my 02 is that way.

should just have some clips on the back, be careful though because i broke one of mine so i just left it alone lol

you dont have to take the grill off, just take off the plastic cover on top and get a flat head and pop out the clips on the back

I just removed that top cover and reached down behind the grill to unclip it

Yeah, don't remove the grille, I actually just reached my hand in the opening where the hood latch is, there are 2 clips that you have to undo, and pull the bowtie out. You might need a small little flat head screwdriver to assist to get those clips out.
