Default Gauge mounting

Wideband and gauge should be here end of the week or early next. Needing opinions on where to mount the gauge.
In the pic below I could easily cut a new piece of wood and mount the stereo higher and put the gauge below the stereo. Do you think it would fit?
I could put it in the dash under the cluster on either side. Pending there is room behind.
Or last I could order a Column pod and mount it on top of the column.

Suggestions?

If there is room, I would mount the gauges under the radio. The last thing I would do would mount them in the dash under the cluster. It would make them hard to read plus ruin a perfectly good dash if you decide to go back to stock. The column pod is an okay idea but one would say that it's overdone plus you could save your money on other mods. Just my 0.02$.

Put it in your stock cluster where the tranny temp gauge would be

I don't think it will fit under the radio. When the steering wheel is straight you won't be able to see it on the dash, I would do the column pod.

Or what Thunder said, if you get a thin gauge that is the best spot IMO.

That actually crossed my mind just before i checked the thread again. thanks for the pic too.
Seems like the best option as it would blend in and would be easy to view while driving.

I cancelled that as an option, I use the overhead console. And the lights.

I'm going with the the In-dash install where the trans temp should be.

What year is your truck? I believe 03+ the cluster is different than the one Thunder posted.... I was going to do that option but the gauge would not fit... < '03 have more room where the tranny gauge sits...

It's an 03. And I think your right on that. the 99-02 had a full circle trans temp while the 03+ had the edge chopped off a bit to make room for the tach.
