Default Carbon Gauge Bezel: please help with install!

When using these stick on things, how do you separate the factory plastic pinch weld between the factory bezel and the gauge window? can i heat it and nudge it with a razor? or should i just trim the back piece off?

thanks in advance for any and all help!

do you have a picture of what you are trying to install? i might be able to help you out better. i put on a carbon fiber dash overlay kit. i took the entire instrument cluster out. then i took the clear plastic "window" off the cluster so i could access the gauge needles. did you get that far yet? are you trying to get that black plastic bezel off?

How did you take the plastic off, that's where i'm stuck. I got the cluster out and all and got the whole shield with the clear plastic window off, but how do you take the clear window off?
