got off the molding and tar...now what?

Default got off the molding and tar...now what?

after scraping it off with my fingernails and tar remover for a few hours its all off, but now the paint is all dull where it was.... i went over it with some mcguires wax but cant get it to look normal

When I did my 99 Sierra , I first used Adhesive remover to get off the sticky residue. Then I used a clay bar and clayed the whole area. I followed up with some high quality wax. It made a huge difference.

I had to go ahead and use the adhesive remover before the wax to get rid of the foggy look.
