4/6 or 5/7 drop on 22
#1
What backspacing and tire size would work with a 4/6 or 5/7 drop. I want as wide a wheel as possible.
I noticed somewhere, someone narrowed there rearend. but I cant remember how much. I would like to do the same and possibly run 22x12 rears or wider or 22x10 with a hell of a lip. What do you guys think?

The lowest you can go with a 4/6 will be with 22's! I would with a 22x10 at the rear with 285/35/22 tire's and with a 265/35/22 up front. With the 5/7 drop no bigger than 20's. A guy I know has a 5/7 on his 99 RC with 20x10's with 295/40's and 20x8's wrapped on 245/35's. Said it rode just like stock and was more than happy with it.

I saw the truck with the narrowed rear end, it was on the cover of truckin a while back, it was pretty sick lookin cause the lip on the rear wheels was like 6"! It's gonna be hard to get a 10" wide wheel up front if u want a lip on it and be able to go that low...the fronts can be tricky cause there are so many variables with the steering and such.

5/7 and 22s wont work very well. only unless you are willing to really **** up you front fenders. the tires will hit when you turn all the time. When I had a 4/6 i had a little trouble turning and hitting.

I would still like to tub the inner fenders. Where do I cut and where does the fusebox, master cylinder, and windshield washer fluid tank go. I can move the battery under the rear seat. I wanted to do this to avoid any future problems and if I decide to lay frame.
