Dam colt
Maybe you didnt spend the money but if the average hemi head guy was to do what you did in mods,he would have to mortage the farm.Like how much? $10K? That is 10s for a chevy. Are you in the ballpark?
Hey Colt
You have been around this forum for a while,I am glad you have and have been opened minded, glad you DR.z truck is running strong.

lol - saw off a chunk a hemi, thats funny.
well my motor just went back in today; i have about 2 weeks work left (ic fabrication and tuning) - then i'll need some races lined up so i can recoup some of the money i spent
And I cant say what I spent - part of my agreement (but I can say nowhere near $10k) - but to have what has been done to my motor itd cost close to double that considering all of the custom work and the manufacturers and shops taking part in the build. (theres a ton of custom parts and it spent a month at superchips for a custom tune and more)
It'll be in the 10's no problem once Suncoast, or someone, gets the tranny to handle it. I'm going to stay at 10psi til I can swap transmissions- once swapped I'll have another 10-15psi and a 150 shot available, so 10's wont be a problem -

Re-coup
nobody re-coups,you need to get that bitch on the track.Did you have your ride tide up for R&D for almost a year or more? How many mile are on that? better yet how many mile have you put on it? That thing should be bad to the bone with perfect drivability..How is it so far?I see your a mod here, since when? Thanks for taking on the tasks.

it's got 11k miles on it LOL
well, maybe not recoup, but i'll be putting some new mod money in my pocket soon. A buddy has a private air strip and he's offered it to me for track tuning so I won't have to run it in front of town. Keep it quiet as long as I can. Not too many fast trucks around here so it wont be hard to line up cash races.
Ive been a mod here since late last year i think. I enjoy this site, i like it being all brands.

Hey, Colt, I'm no where near done with my next Ranger. Hell, I'm still collecting parts.
It's always something (to pay for)! So, I may never finish it. But if I ever do, I'll try to meet up with ya somewhere and saw off a chunko' that Hemi.
I think your truck will be one bad boy when it's done.
Do you ave anything like a Hot Rod Festival, at your local track? If so, when do they do it? Not that I'll go or anything.

Synthetics allow for more on an engine properly "broken in" and while you'd think a new vehicle wouldn't have issues, it's not worth taking the chance. Not all engines get synthetic from the factory yet, and those that don't are often recommended not to get it until at least 5K. Why it matters, Idonno.
You dont have to tell me,I do late engines and trannys on a regular basis.
