Default When will Hemis' learn?

I was cruising down the highway leaving my GF's house. Some guy in a CC Hemi decides he's not going to let me merge into the lane before I run out of road.So I just say to he** w/ it and get into it a little.I managed to get ahead of him and of course he didn't like that one bit.BTW the 99-00 Ls look just like any other F150 from the back .But anyway,no sooner I go by he starts pacing me w/ a big smerk on his face.Needless to say that was enough for a a** whoopin.By this time I'm cruisin at about 55.I goosed it thinking he would bite and of course he did.The sad thing is he's d*** near wide open, trust me I heard it,I didn't even have to go into boost and he barely inched ahead. At about 60-65 I said screw it and let 'er rip.By 90 he was about 2 buses behind. Needless to say when I let him by his window was up and he didn't even look at me.That's only the 2nd Hemi I've run since I got my truck. Two Hemis',two kills.

Good kill. I have never found a guy with a Hemi powered truck that wants to talk truck with me let a lone race me.

Sure Ive had them rev on me going the opposite direction. (Is that a race?)

Maybe they're learning "Hemi" is just a name.

You know what will make it more interesting....when Dodge drops in the 6.1L. Add to that a higher rear end ratio, possibly a new 5 speed auto. It's all there and only a matter of time before it happens.

I've thought about the same thing too. Until then, us Chevy guys will still have a chance.

Good kill, the only hemi that ever tried my truck gave up in the first 100ft maybe it was because I was ahead by about 60ft.He wanted to know what I had done to my truck,so I told him that it was a stock 5.3 with a catback.what part of Missouri are you from?

I was washing my truck over the weekend and had a CC Daytona rev at me. I just laughed. I hate to be a snob, but some just aren't worth the gas money.

They are pretty nice looking trucks, and the exhaust sounds pretty good though. I'm not sure about the wing, but it sure makes them think it's fast!

Your just fooling yourself if you dont know those wings add 40-50rwhp at the very minimum. It also helps to keep the truck on the ground under hard exceleration...otherwise you would see them lifting off the ground all the time and stuck in tree tops and colliding with small aircraft.
