Now for the "cheap shot" you need... The Hemi powered Ram surely ISN'T on anyone's list as "top" performance truck.

Can't we all just get along!! I mean, we all have something in common right? We all love our makes and models, horsepower, and fast women. It doesn't matter who's faster or who's slower. The main thing is that we all love our trucks, its something that we can call ours. And when someone needs help with something, and make a post, then we all try to help each other. Ok, I'm done preaching.

It DOES have a S/C! That's a main ingredient of the Lightning.
Don't you think the engineers knew that when they designed the thing? I'm fairly certain, they didn't want it to be just another F150, considering, they already had that.
That's like someone losing a race to an SRT-10 and then saying "It wouldn't be that fast, if it didn't have a V10." Well, DUH!
And you have the right to mod you truck so it can out-run a Lighting. My truck can out-run most of them.
I wonder how many Lightning owners say, if he didn't have a v8 in his Ranger, it would just be another Ford on the slow lane?

Seriously though, at the small dealership I worked for, we had an average of 3 per month and the techs almost always commented that there came another who's owner thought oil changes were optional. What they meant was, change yer oil frequently. They run pretty well in general aside from that.

The big problem we were told about was sludge and a lack of oil changes. I saw one in and looked at it because the truck looked fine, except for being torn to pieces. The tech told me to check to odometer... 8,2xx miles. He swore the oil hadn't been changed and the foolish customer verified by telling us he thought it would go 10K on one change. WTH is that about? Not on a new vehicle folks. Bad for him, no warranty coverage since he admitted not maintaining it. These things cost around 5K too. Don't work there anymore or I'd look it up.

What does the book say? 7500mi between changes?,useing synthetics you could go 10k,Doesnt matter the famed new hemi design has flaws with or without oil changes.
