It is sites like that one that make one appreciate sites like this one.... People here are so much cooler... and most of us actually GO to the drag strip and RUN our trucks.. rather than just talk chit....

How did this thread die? HEMI's Suck.

This goes on at every forum known to man... ***** envy, little man complex, whatever you want to call it. There are plenty of cool folks with many different makes who do their own thing. There's a local here who's LS1'd and T-56'd a 90model Silverado RC. It's juiced and rides OUT! Me being a stick guy, I love to see him run. It's different. He squats like he's getting ready to leap into the air at every shift. He's a cool guy too.

Different strokes for different folks. I knew what a pain in the ***** it would be to make a Dodge quick when I bought mine, but I refused to get an "AUTOMATIC" sport truck. If the "L" or the SS had a stick, there would probably be one in the driveway.

So Colt... We still on? I'm ready to SAW. hehehe

Jeez do they ever let up...lol I was looking for a stick when I bought mine and they are nowhere to be found. I would also like to see the SS with a stick. It seems like that has been left to the old muscle cars and Hi-Po top end cars. We could always change it to a stick but it will always end up with more problems we have to run down. Wether Ford, Chevy or Dodge. Some will be easier to do as well, we can only pray to the horsepower gods to set the power free on all the new beasts.
I always wondered why they don't build the bruisers they use to!! Then I met a young guy at school this week in New Bremen, Ohio. He was from Long Beach and had a Caddillac CTS-V an 05'. What a beast with style. It had a LS6 with mods that thing was sick and didn't even look like it. It made me feel old...lol It was an auto and ran 13 flat, haulin the groceries too. I hate to say it, but I may be lookin at a Chevy soon. I am trying to talk my girl into letting me ditch the truck and keep the engine for an old rod (Dodge) and swappin it over to a Standalone, then just like yesteryear the Chevy's will be cryin about the Hemi, wait looks like they still are!!....lol

You can get away with that here,no one really takes offense or gives a dam,say whatever you want. You try that **** on the dodge forum you get called a lying POS by many just before you get kicked off forum ,right after you made your case as to why the chevys are better.

Apple for apples, they really dont cost more, better re-sale,better mileage, fewer warrenty claims, easy cheap mods. When there is an issue you can find advise easily.Different mentallity of GM owner.Based on the forums much higher percentage GM guys will tear into ther trucks.More mechanics across the country owen more GM products than anything else. And GM 1/2 tons have the highest towing rating. This is based on buying and selling and working on all makes. And as a side bar I bought and sold more DC products in the last 3 weeks than most own in a 10 years.Bought 4 in the last 11 days.Doesnt matter as long as you enjoy what you drive and own.IMHOP
