Default Stock TBSS vs my LQ4 ECSB

my buddys new girlfriend has a stock tbss and he was going on and on about how bad he wanted to race me. Im not afraid to take a lose or bust *** so i said lets roll.

06 TBSS - stock, 395 hp, AWD
vs
01 ECSB Silverado - LQ4, cai, long tubes, HP Tuners - Rated at 300 hp stock...unknown HP

Raced from a 25 roll first run and i spun like i knew i would. i put about two-three trucks on him and we stopped at 85 or so because of a car coming our way on the very rural road we raced on.

second race- we raced from a 30 roll which again i knew i would spin but i didnt wanna roll faster because my truck would bog second. i spun and had to pedal it to get it to stop. i put another three to four on him and called it a night.

I was very impressed with the stock TBSS for what it is. They are rated at395 hp. Pretty cool to walk it with my extended cab 6.0 with exhaust.

I got some 235/60R16 Kumho somethings on there. It will spin anywhere under 30 if you floor it. Spins thru first into second and if you hold it it will spin thru second and have you staring at the ditch. Me and a buddy played with it the other day and it was spinning..reading 80 mph on the speedo...it finally hooked and we were doing 75. haha 3.42 gears...once they are spinning it will spin forever.

I have always wondered about the stock TBSS. Good Run but get some tires! 235's spin pretty easy in stock form and your running a modded truck. (although I would imagine its fun to drive! )

Well of course not. I hath not traction undereth 30ith.

Yeah also I stated that this particular tbss was AWD. I was wrong. Its just RWD but my buddy didnt see the little TC button so yeah it may have been another story if he had taken it off. He said it bogs at the hit and then it feels likes its pulls later on. So with the TC off im sure it would be a pedal battle.

Yep, the TBSS is the easiest to pick off from a slow roll, they are either dogs because they'll shift into second instead of 1st, or they shift into 1st then hunt for a second on the 1-2 shift. I was PISSED when I finally started beating on mine after the first thousand miles was finally done, it wasn't much faster than my tuned 5.3 SBSC truck was.

Throw a tune on that SS and it's a totally different truck though.
