Me and my girlfriend were on the way home from dinner last night, Just taking our time goin bout 65 on the interstate. See a old F-250 (93ish?) gas burner with straight pipes.. It had 3 guys in it, they were goin just a little slower than i was. When i got beside them we had just come up on a small hill so the turbo started making its little noise. I guess it caught their attention cause he nailed it. I just laughed....

So i eased on the throttle and caught up with them doin bout 80 or so and got on it enough to get into boost and let off so they could hear the wastegate.. then went WOT and from 80-120 their head lights almost dissapeared... ..

So i let off and let the Cruise catch at 65, they come flying up on me and when they got beside me a guy hangs out of the passenger window with a beer and cigarette hollaring and shaking his hand in the air... (lost the cigarette ) so i went WOT again and when their headlights disappeared again i let out.

They started flashing the headlights when i got off my exit, so i pulled over and put my XD in my lap. They pulled up beside me and here is our conversation:
Them: "What the Hell you got under the hood of that thing?"
I smiled and said "A Stock 5.3"
He kindof looked at me puzzled.... " Whats that whistling noise?"
ME: "OH that?, Thats a Garrett Muffler"
Them: "That thing runs like a MFing Sports car, What size turbo is it?"
Me: "GT-67 i think?"

Then find out its a neighbor of my buddy. So we get to talkin more and he said that Tim (my buddy) Said that i had been workin on my truck some and had a turbo and all them goodies. He said nice to meet ya and all that....

I was fixin to roll my window up and proceed home when he said "Get on it when you leave" So i brake stall it and let her rip... bout 70 and it caught traction and went.... their faces looke like this.... ...

Anyway, i stopped and filled up and managed to get 16mpg on that tank... i think im through tuning the fuel on it and goin to work on the spark tables now...

Fun times.... oh and the other night i was tryin to play with a nice lookin C6 and he was ignoring me.. so i waved and went on my way..

 

Nice to know you can play with them and still beat them LOL. Good kill I would of said it's a v6 with the tb spacer.

 

Dang i didnt think bout that!!!! ill keep that in mind for next time...

A TB Spacer will make it whistle, right???

had a mexican in a riced out civic try to pass me today.. now that was funny!!!! he tried to come around me and i was doin 70, he had downshifted and the fartcannon was a screaming!!!! poor little car... after i left him and slowed down he flew past me doin bout 80
