I used to kick the **** out of my friends crew cab f250 ford with the 6.0. In the past couple months he did injectors, egr delete, full exhaust, cold air, and SCT tune. Its a totally different truck. From a 40 roll we stayed dead even, I am talking about no one gained an inch until around 125-130, and he started to pull some, maybe a fender. I wanted to run from a dig because I noticed he had a little bit of lag when he took off from a stop on it hard, but he wouldnt do it. I'm still proud of the little 4.8, hung in there like a champ.

 

ran again last night. Dead even again from a 60mph roll the first run, the second run I pulled it down a couple gears to be in my powerband and we did another 60mph roll, this time I started to pull on him and he just let off.LOL I really want to get a dig run with him but he wont do it.

 

haha you should put a 75 or 100 shot on your truck and run him again. Be a sneaky pete and don't tell him. Just say bring what you have, I want to run that f250 again. Maybe you can get some cash and run for $100. He might not even want to run for money at all though.

 

My trans is slipping some, I dont think it could handle a shot of nitrous.LOL

 

Is it 4wd? In four high if he can build some boost at a stop like 20lbs or so i cant see it pagging. But its still a pretty stock truck plus its a ford so mayne it does cough a little from a stop before the turbo lights. Not a 6.0 powerstroke fan

 

Yes, his is 4x4. He hasn't learned how to stall it up yet to bring it into boost .LOL

is he using the SCT canned tunes? The custom SCT tunes such as the ones done by eric at innovative diesel are wicked! Don't tell him about those lol.

 

yes, generic sct tunes. He says he has it set to the highest level. It is impressive how much power diesels can make.
