What are your mods? The RC weighs about 5K lb also. If you are just talking racing then the truck might not impress everyone. But start factoring in the 515 watt stereo system, Nav system, Blue tooth, etc then it becomes a pretty good truck. The biggest thing I like about my truck is that there are not a lot on the roads. When I was up in VA I would see 10-15 L's or 5 SS's daily. It would be only a few times a year that I would see another SRT-10 on the road.

If it was a Roe Blower he was only pushing 5 to 6 pounds of boost anything more and our motors like to start puking rods...i don't know man maybe my trucks a factory freak i had CAI and Exhaust and i walked a Z06 in Fort Worth one nite...our trucks " SRT-10" are in a sence just like the viper car they are hard to drive lol......also like i said i guess my trucks a freak i'v walked a Tuned WRX STI, A Z06, A TBSS, And a Cammed AWD SS..and the guy in the red SS truck had a deer in the head light look cause when i passed him i had white smoke boiling off the tires...agian it just comes down to the driver and knowing your Car or Truck
and if what you say is true about him being blown then some body need to steal his truck form him and teach him how to drive it lol
and thats givin if your truck was stock or lightly modded... but anything can be beat so who knows......my buddy went to the drag strip tonight with a reg cab SRT-10 ran a 12.6 his mods are Drag radials,caltracks,SCT Tuner and headers, and thats with a 2.1 60 ft
