Default BTR Stage 2 Truck Cam

Long time lurker on this site. Today I bought a BTR stage 2 truck cam with springs for my 06 sierra (5.3) today. I didn't see a lot of information regarding the BTR stage 2 cam so I figured I would give it a go. Ill do a full report after the install is complete. My truck is 100% stock minus a spintech muffler. I know gears and a higher stall convertor would probably be a better first modification but to be honest I'm just really curious what a small cam and tuning will do to a stock truck. I have a local tuner I found in the DFW area that seems to be pretty reputable that will do the tuning for me. I think this will be a great little cam for DD and light towing. Wish me luck.

I called them and asked about the stage 3 cam. I have no plans of doing a convertor in the near future and I pull a boat around on the weekends. BTR suggested the stage 2 over the stage 3. Worse case scenario I can always change it out.

I'm also planning on using this cam with some 243 heads that I have off of my GTO.

Was hoping to get it done before the winter, but looks like it may be a spring project for me unfortunately.

Sounds like a fun project, fortunately TX stays pretty warm during the winter so I should have mine buttoned up in 3 weeks time.
