Default Cadillac CTS

So I catch a light with one of those CTS caddys, you see a lot of them around here. Real nice one, black, looked brand new. Middle-aged guy driving it. For some reason I had a feeling he was game. We both get off the light briskley but not all the way open, I go ahead and tach out first and he stays at my door. The sound of me hitting 6K seemed to incite him so he gets into it hard and makes up a little ground because I shifted slowly and softly into second. Once I get back into the powerband I slowly retain control of situation but this car is keeping up pretty well. This is the 2nd time one of these cars has given me a run so I figure it's time to do some research. 2006 specs show that a CTS is available with a 3.6 V6 producing 255HP. All the cars are 6-speed manuals weighing around 3500 lbs. Ok mystery solved.

Nice race (and well written). The CTS is also available with an LS6 also, so just make sure you are not setting yourself up for decimation.

Thanks and yes I'm aware of the CTS-V. I'm sure one of those would hand me my *** no problem! Pretty sweet car, might think about getting one in a couple of years; when you can pick one up used a little cheaper.

CTS-V's are very sweet. Certainly wouldn't mind driving one myself.

Hey I appreciate the compliment man. Actually I got rear-ended by a drunk about a month ago, so my truck should be in the paint shop by next week. Along with getting the damage repaired I'm going to black out the front bumper. Once this is all done I plan on doing a full photo shoot and I will finally get some decent pics up on my site.

yeah the CTS-V is a sweet ride, no doubt. I tried to put my wife in one when they first came out, but she says "it has a 6 speed" in a family car, and she wouldn't get over me saying that the manual helped fuel economy.....LMAO! For some reason, she didn't believe that.
