Default beating z28's?

ok with my 6.0L,comp cam, intake, full exhaust,4.10 gears, posi, and a 3400 stall do yall think i coudl beat a stock trans am or z28? i have alot of buddys that have z28s and they run 8.8's at the track in the 1/8th. so im wanting to try to equal that if not beat it. will that setup work or what else will it take? i know on highway it would be much harder because of the weight difference and arowdynamics but as far as 1/8th goes what do yall think. also i could add 100 shot wet

I know that set up in a rcsb should run mid to high 13's NA in the quarter mile provided you can hook with that high stall and 4.10 gears and that is what the z28 should run stock. I have a friend at work who has a z28 6 speed and I can put 2-3 trucks on him from 0-100mph, but then again I think he cant shift either.

With Everything In Sig With 6.0 First Time Out By The End Of The Night By Best Was 12.46 @ 108 So With A 6.0 In A Rcsb With Cam Bolts Ons And A Good Tune,a Z28 Should Not Be A Problem.

You should be able to take a stock one.. I run a 8.8 1/8 mile with my 5.3L with the stock cam and no headers and traction..I just had every other bolt on..

sweet well that helps out alot. i was more concerned about the weight issue when comparing trans ams to trucks. i know the 6.0 is big but i just didnt know what it would do when racing one. thanks for the help though. i figure with bottle i better kill some damn camaros lol.

yea most definitely, especially stock z28's before being procharged i gave those things problems all the time. your truck should most definitely be able to whip up on those all day.
