New vs. old driveshaft. 3.5" steel vs 2 5/8" steel (i believe)

All 1350 solid Spicer u joints with chromemoly Sonnax trans yoke and my chromemoly pinion yoke arrives tomorrow.

Can anyone give me advice on installing the new pinion yoke. I didn't realize tightening down the pinion nut was going to be such a big deal

You can use a torque with the pointer to test before and after turning pressure. Once you get the play out of the bearing start tighten it down to the before reading.
