Yet another turbo build...

i don't remember the brand i had but it was about $100 i think. I could touch mine briefly after a long drive. I could not keep my hand on it for forever but then again it did not burn me touching it. For example trying to swap out plugs after running.
my previous blanket just cooked itself to death and became hard and crusty..

It wasn't for me, but my setup always seemed to run incredibly hot. I think I had a PTP at one point. The last one I used was a $50 ebay one I think.
You will want to wrap that line as much as you can...let me put it this way, my wrapped turbo pipes and turbo with a blanket on it melted the plastic fender liner that was a good 6" away from the heat source.

the line is wrapped with multiple layers of cool tape and you've got to remember, it's been running like this for 3 years now and the t6 housing isn't that much bigger than the t4. I did have to bend the line over some more for extra clearance however I'm not terribly concerned about it rupturing.

It's bigger, no doubt about it. The turbine housing is bigger and it's longer with the turbo sitting more forward than the t4 unit. But it's not a dramatic difference. The t4 is already much bigger than the stuff from precision, turbonetics, etc.

i think i'm gonna install a boost gauge and maybe get the speedhut afr gauge
I've been well against any visible gauges in the cab but I really need to know what's going on when I'm trying to tune this setup.
My argument against gauges has been that if the motor is going to blow it's going to happen before you can react anyways.
