Yea 11.41 at nearly 119. All said and done im happy but disappointed that the issues held me back. I'll be back next year with the 102 and a few other additions to help my issues. I was also only on 15* timing. So the way I look at it I was shifting 300RPM before what I think my peak HP will be, I was losing almost 3psi on the top end, and I have another 2psi to go before I hit my target (5psi at my current shift points), so I feel confident there is another 100+ hp to be had easily. I hate making assumptions like that... But i also have no choice as of today...
OK so I started to make a little progress with my intake already. I don't have any pics, but this is what I have to use. It's a 5" tube.
I'm bummed at how sharp the angle is, but I have no choice. There is no room for anything else. I will be looking into making a dual 4" into single 5" over the winter with both filters behind the headlights. I will have to relocate my battery to make it work.
Be a lot easier if you want to make it from metal. Start with a 90, trim one leg so it fits, then section out the inside of the turn and add a lot of material so its a big radius. Could probably do it with plastic but it would be harder.
I know, right? One of the benefits of the jackshaft was the smoother inlet of air... so much for that.
I have the 5" close to fitting. I played with it last night a little late when I got home.
I may take richards advice and just drive it around without the intake tube on... but i dont feel like redoing my tune to run without meth and blah blah blah...
