Do you plan on putting any miles on the truck before it is finalized? I think I would probably do the sponsored stickers with the clear last. Just incase you make a change to something and it is not on your truck for sema. Just thinking that you might run this truck for a bit before it is finalized. Just a thought. Vince B
well Im doing this for the feature photoshoot a week from tuesday, so its pretty much a done deal.
we are in the middle of tracking down a fuel pressure issue... the system is 100% leak free (shocker considering im the one who made all of the hoses lol) but here is the problem, when we key the ignition the eliminator pump goes on and FP spikes at 60psi, then the pump stops after a couple of seconds and FP drops to 0 within 15 seconds... the gang at aeromotive is trying to diagnose the issue...
also the new computer Justin sent me says reduced engine power from the initial key on, so thats another issue... can someone PM me justin's cell number, I have a new phone and lost all my numbers.
thanks...

Two things...
One the way you've layed out your sponsor stickers is very very cool!! I don't like it when people put them on their windows or on the quarter panels or back windshield etc... I think the way you have it is really classy and doesn't take away from the look of the truck!! Very
indeed!!
Second I really like your catch can and it's location, very cool! How is it mounted?

here's a pic of the Y block - I will get a picture of the mount later and post it up.

dave my truck does that too. im pretty sure since our trucks are returnless the computer turns the pump on for a few seconds to prime the fuel system but since we have a return setup the fuel gets sent back to the tank causing fuel press to dissapear.

spoke to aeromotive today at length... A+ everything from these guys - products, service, etc... anyways, considering what chase just explained, my Primary fuel pump (the big eliminator - BTW that ****** is loud, it sounds like I am getting ready to start a nascar wtf) is connected to a "speed controller" unit from aeromotive, it regulates the pump speed, it serves to save pump life, but it is completely optional.
The speed controller is hooked up to switched egnition, and acts like the factory system - starts full speed on pump then shuts off after a couple of seconds - standard.
There is an over ride system on this speed controller - Im going to try that later today, it starts the pump on full and stays there (the regulator is boost referenced 30-60psi spring adjustable for high and low boost)
If that fixes the problem the the speed controller is bad and I will try a new one.
Not sure why the computer is reading reduced engine power at key on tho... still have to talk with Justin.

I don't think there is an aftermarket regulator that will seal the return completely. I asked both Aeromotive and Magnafuel, and I have both. So your pressure will always fall off when the pump cuts out. My plan was for a returnless/return 2 mode fuel system, but I am always sending a little fuel back to the tank, even in low demand mode because the FPR at the rails won't seal completely. This could be a safety feature.
If you have a check valve in the pump or after the pump, then at least it will keep fuel in the feed line so you don't have hard starts.

I have fuel pressure... I just bypassed the speed pump controller during startup... however I cant start it because I am throwing two codes -
P0220
P2135
I think it might be related to the DR. X harness - I am using an LS7 TB so I CUT the pink loop on each end, is this correct??

ahh yea... lets not talk about that damn catch can... while it may look all pretty and nice - it ended up costing about $400

here's a pic of the Y block - I will get a picture of the mount later and post it up.
