I've personally seen this stuff loosen bolts & rusted piston rings when nothing else could.

edit: their slogan is "the oil that creeps" & it's the truth!

rained all day....need to get new leaf pack bolts so it will work with the axle....bolt head diameter needs to be 1/2" or less and at least 2 3/4" long.

If you are talking about the "bolt" that goes through the center of the spring pack it is called a spring pin.

The spring pin will have a 1/2" round head because it is meant to locate the axle.

Yep, I had to do the same thing when I originally did my 14b swap on my other truck. I just used an allen head bolt of the right length, worked fine.

I rounded the corners of a bolt head of once and it worked fine. Never thought about the allen headed bolts.

So I decided to get new pins and drill the spring perch on the axle slightly larger. I dont want to risk one of these shearing off...and by the way, these things are impossible to find so I got some tuff country ones off summit.

Also got this cool thing in the mail, I dont see why more guys dont use these for oil feeds. I plan on using it for my oil temp sensor.

And the thread pitch for our oil pans is 3/4-16

Got an MRI on my wrist today. Kinda fun watching xray while the doctor moves the needle around in my wrist to inject the dye without really feeling anything...except now its sore. Ill know in a few days if I tore anything...
