Very nice build. You got yourself a nice little monster. Congrats. I started using Neal Chance converters on our turbo builds and they are awesome.

I had wayy too many problems with PTC.. customer service sucked bad! Went thru about 5 of their converters before goin to a yank.

They sent me a 700R4 converter first.. their fault
2nd one wouldnt lock up, it slipped some kinda bad even with max PSI.
3rd one worked for a lil while and the clutch went out. didnt tow hardly anything
4th time the pump broke
5th time was the "rebuilt" 4th one, installed it and it was screaming bad! Didnt even drive it. took it out and sent it back. they said it had a bad bearing in it? I had enough and they charged me a 35% restocking fee..

6th one was a Yank TT3000 till that transmission puked the output shaft.
7th time was a 4L80E

Which NC converter are you using? The welded one?

Im thinking for my weight I need something rated to 2000hp that wont blow through.

Hopefully I found whats been making the underside of my engine oily...front seal is worn out, notice the right side of it. The one on the right is a new one.

Does that mean you might have a bearing allowing too much movement to that side? No other reason i can think of that would allow once side of a seal to get worn.

That is assuming it was installed straight.

Pretty sure the pulley walking off did it a few months ago since I never replaced it after that.

So it turns out replacing the front cover didnt fix my mystery oil leak after all, although I think it helped. The only thing left I could think of is the oil cooler lines....the block im using to go from the engine to the lines has -10 fittings on it, which I had to step down to-8 to use with my cooler. I think one of those joints was leaking so I replaced the entire length with solid -8 line and found a new cooler block on ebay. It wasnt there last year, but I found it for $50 and it came with fittings and ports for the turbo feed and temp sensor. Its also a lot smaller than the old one.

Also my new converter from PTC came today...this thing is a beast! Hope to have it in by this weekend!
