Ride Tech coil over install
#1
First let me say there's a ton of great info on this site! I have learned much.
After doing some reading about others experiences with coil over instals, I pulled the trigger.
My truck is a 2003 Silverado std cab, short bed. I went with the 6.1 stroke single adjustables with 800# springs. They recommended to go with a plate and bracket for the upper mount, as to get away from the stud mount. I got a pair of Strong Arm lower control arms also.
This truck has been lowered its whole life using a Belltech 4/3 kit and had Edlebrock shocks. So far the ride is about the same stiffness wise, but handles better! Zero body lean and no bounce at all. The ride hight stayed the same too. Bonus!
Also was time for new brakes. I went with EBC GT 13 inch dimpled and slotted rotors, Green stuff pads, and new calipers.

I hope you meant to type "4.1" stroke. Ridetech doesn't make a 6.1 and I feel the 6.3 would be too long. Interesting they recommended a 4.1 eye-eye with adapter and strong arm. When I spoke with them, the recommendation was a 3.6 stud top with strong arm lower for ~4" drop.
Setup looks really good though and glad to hear the RT's are performing to your expectations.

I didn't get a pic of the upper mounts. Basically it's a flat round plate that has a pair of tabs welded on. It then bolts through the factory mount. The coil overs use a cross bolt through the tabs. This is way less stressful then the stud mount and has more movement.
And Ya they are the 4.1 inch stroke. The lower CAs have a dropped mount, I think it's 2 inch lower than stock, and am running 2 inch dropped spindles. This package gives me the same 4 inch drop as before but rides and handles way better!
I measured the shock length at ride hight and gave them the numbers. I think it was 13.5 inch from mount to mount.
