I finally feel like I made some noticeable progress today. I had done some small things since my last update, but it didn't look like much. Today I whooped *** on it good. And the heat knocked the crap out of me.

The bed got painted last Friday , been too busy and tired to get over there for pictures. Still waiting on a base tune, starting to get worried.

Still no PCM, going over there Wednesday on my day off to see what the deal is.

Today I managed to swap beds, install the Walbro I got back in May. Weld on an exhaust hanger for the tailpipe, etc, etc. I also moved the driver's side leaf spring down one hole in the drop shackle to try and get rid of the "Chevy lean."

My progress was halted early by the rain today. I had forgotten about the efans... so installed those first thing. Installed the billet grille off of my old truck, sanded and buffed the headlights , and installed the tail lights that I bought from a member here. Not bad for a little over two hours.

Got the front bumper, grille, etc installed today. Started on the rear sway bar install... stopped to rethink a few things.

The instructions call for the fuel tank to be dropped, to drill holes and access an area behind the tank. I am going to skip that, use something to shield the tank. And weld that bracket on. I am not dropping the tank, F that.

Hell..... you should done all that while the bed was off.... Could have probably gotten to it without dropping the tank

I thought the same thing, hindsight is an SOB. I was just so pressed for time the day I did the bed swap. I am OK with welding the bracket on.

Got the rear bumper on today, it is just loosely bolted on. Used the brackets from my fleetside bumper, the two outer brackets required some trimming to clear the bed. As thin as they are, I doubt that they do much structurally. I did not mess with the rear sway bar, maybe over the weekend.

Still no PCM, I really need to buy HP tuners and learn. Right now progress on my truck is virtually at a standstill because of the lack of a tune.
